From now until the green flag drops on the 19th annual Kalamazoo Klash on Wednesday night, August 17 this page will be your one stop place to go to find out everything relating to the number one Outlaw Super Late Model event in the nation.  As new competitors enter the event or as any news relating Klash XIX comes up it will be updated on this page first!!

The list below is a list of drivers that have either already registered for Kalamazoo Klash XIX or are expected to.  It does not include regular drivers such as Phil Bozell, Andy Bozell, Tom Thomas, John Chapman, Trent Hellenga, Rick Sexton, Rick Senneker, Billy Shannon, Mark Shook, Todd Harrington, Todd Dougherty, Bill Tomlinson, Adam VanAvery and Brandon Lyons, all of who are expected to compete.

-Future NASCAR star Ross Kenseth, son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Matt Kenseth, will make his first start.  Kenseth will be driving for Bozell Racing in the Kalamazoo Klash and for Tim Steele in the Premier Boyne Machine Super Late event.

-Former NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Johnny Benson is expected to be competing in Kalamazoo Klash XIX, driving for legendary car owner Larry Zent.  Benson is looking for his second Klash title, as he also won Klash XIV.

-The “Hurricane”, Scott Hantz has sent in his entry for Kalamazoo Klash XIX!!  Hantz is a multiple time CRA Super Series champion and was also the winner of the 2006 Winchester 400.  Hantz finished 2nd in the season opening Intimidator 100 and is looking for his first Klash victory.

-Former Berlin Raceway champion Terry VanHaitsma will compete in Klash XIX, as well as the Kalamazoo Klash Tune-Up on August 13. 

-Two time Outlaw Super Late Model champion Terry Senneker is entered for Klash XIX and is also expected to attend the Klash Tune-Up.  Senneker won the Klash in 2008 and is the current Berlin Raceway point leader.

-Three-time Kalamazoo Speedway champion Kenny Head will make his first Outlaw Super Late Model start of 2011 driving a team car to Mark Shook.  Head is looking to improve on his best Klash finish of 4th in Klash XV.

-Steve Needles, teamate to Terry Senneker and winner of Klash XVII, has entered this year’s event.  Needles has also won the Main Event at Columbus Speedway in Ohio and is currently third in points at Berlin Raceway.

-All the way from Connecticut comes former NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck Series driver Ted Christopher, driving for Bobby Blount.  Christopher is also the 2001 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National champion.  He also won the 2008 NASCAR Whelen Modified Series championship.  His accomplishment list is perhaps one of the most impressive of any short track driver of all-time. 

-Veteran JR Roahrig will be one of the pre-race favorites based on his performances in a few appearances at Kalamazoo this season.  JR is a former Late Model champion at both Plymouth and New Paris and also recently won the Glass City 100 at Toledo Speedway.

-Multiple time M40 Speedway champion Jeff Ganus is expected to challenge for victory in this years Klash.  Ganus, a former winner of the Summer Sizzler at New Pars, make some strong showings early this season.

-Tyler Roahrig is the son of veteran racer JR Roahrig but is making a name for himself with his recent success.  JR showed signs of strength in his appearances early this season at Kalamazoo and has been very strong at several local short tracks.  Tyler was the 2009 CRA Rookie of the year.

-Mike Luberda will make his second consecutive Klash appearance.  Luberda has won special events at Flat Rock and Owosso is the past.

-Former Intimidator 100 winner Tim DeVos is expected to compete for this years Klash title.  DeVos has two wins this season at Berlin Raceway and is 5th in points there, despite not attending all of thier races.  DeVos is also expected to compete in the Premier Boyne Machine Super Late event and challenge for the Sun Drop Double-Duty Bonus.

-Mike Root will make the trip back to the Zoo this season to compete in Klash XIX.  Root has won big races all over the Midwest, including the Big Gun Shootout last season at M40 Speedway.

-Tim Felver is expected to an attempt at the Klash field this year.  Felver will be driving for Larry Zent, as a teamate to Johnny Benson.

-All the way from Florida comes Steve Dorer, who recently won the Red Bud 300 at Anderson Speedway for the CRA Super Series.  Dorer will compete in both the Premier Boyne Machine Super Late event and the Kalamazoo Klash, driving for Adam Terry in the Klash.

-Phil Massuch, a former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver and Stan Perry Memorial winner at Angola Motor Speedway will join the field for Klash XIX.- NEW

-Eastsider Jack Varney Jr. has entered the Klash.  Varney won a 100 lap feature event at Owosso Speedway earlier this season.

-Former “Late Model Jones” winner and the winner of last Friday night’s “Big Gun Shootout #3” at M40 Speedway, Doug True will go after his first Kalamazoo Klash victory.  True also set quick time at Kalamazoo earlier this season for the All-Star Shootout Last Chance Race.

-Randy Day will go after his first Klash victory in Klash XIX.  Day currently sits 13th in Outlaw Super Late Model points at Kalamazoo Speedway but has recently been very competitive.  Day also captured a special event at M40 Speedway recently.

-Monte Tolan, fresh off of his win in “The Chet” at Berlin Raceway will attempt to make the field for this years Kalamazoo Klash.

-Two-time Plymouth Speedway Outlaw Late Model champion Adam Terry will bring his GT Products sponsored machine to the Klash.  Terry made last year’s Klash field and also recently made the field for the Summer Sizzler at the New Paris Speedway.

-Defending Kalamazoo Speedway Modified champion Mike Brooks will pilot the Danny Mac owned car in this years Klash.  Brooks is a former “B’ Feature Klash winner.

-Pat Riley Memorial winner Corey Ryman will make his return to Kalamazoo at the Klash.  Ryman is currently 3rd in points at New Paris Speedway.

-Jeff Bozell will try and make the starting field for this years event.  Bozell has been hit and miss at the Zoo this year and currently sits 19th in points.

-Making his first appearnace of the 2011 season will be Dorr’s Doug Rodanhisler.  Doug will make his return to the track for the first time since a series of hard crashed sidelined him last season. – NEW

-Former Outlaw Super Late Model feature winner Dan Roodvoets will try and qualify for Klash XIX.  Roodvoets is currently 16th in Outlaw Super Late Model points at the Zoo.

-“Rocket” Rich Mersereau is currently 2nd in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Rookies of the Year points for the state of Michigan.  He is expected to chase after his first Klash victory this season.

-Veteran driver and former Berlin Raceway champion Alan Marcott will attempt to make the field for this years Kalamazoo Klash.  Marcott has attended two events so far this season and finished 16th in his most recent visit.

-Chris Koslek, a regular at Berlin Raceway, turned some heads in yesterday’s practice session by setting one of the ten fastest times.  He will attempt to make his first Klash tonight – NEW

-Veteran Marty Crawford will attempt to make this years Klash.  Crawford has won multiple features at Galesburg Speedway – NEW

-Veteran driver Marc Casey will attempt to make Klash XIX.  Casey was 2nd in Late Model points at Galesburg Speedway this season when the track closed.

-Ralph Wine Jr., winner of this seasons All-Star Shootout Last Chance race, will attempt to make the field for the 19th annual Klash. – NEW

-Mike Schippers, a Kalamazoo native, will attempt to make the field for Klash XIX – NEW

-Tom Sevigny is expected to try and make his first Klash start this season.  Sevigny is currently 20th in the point standings.

-Any driver not yet entered for Kalamazoo Klash XIX can do so for FREE (if done before race day, $50 day of race) by emailing shawn@kalamazoospeedway.com.  Simply put “Klash Entry” in the subject line.  Please include: Full Name of Driver, Car #, Hometown and Car Owner.

-With several big haulers expected at this event all trailers will be unloaded and pulled out of the pits on Wednesday.  This will give our great fans a better view of the races.
