Phil Bozell Wins 2011 All-Star Shootout

A full house saw Phil Bozell win the 2011 AllStar Performance All-Star Shootout Sunday night at Kalamazoo Speedway.  Bozell never led a lap until the final 15 lap segment when he took the lead from his father Andy and never looked back on his way to victory.  Andy held on to second place after winning the second segment of the event.  JR Roahrig finished third ahead of Mark Shook and Rick Sexton.  Brandon Zachary won the Lane Roll Off last night and then drove to a sixth place finish tonight ahead of Ralph Wine, Todd Dougherty, first segment winner Trent Hellenga and John Chapman.

In the Belle Tire Stars & Stripes 200 Greg Brown won a thrilling race over Jamie Hancock, Robert Rheinsburg and Dave Miller.  Aaron Rheinsburg crossed the line in 5th position but refused to sell his car after the roll of the dice and thus forfeited his finish.  Harold Bloomer, Don Simmons Jr., Eddy Burgen, Jim Cauffman and Michael Paas completed the top ten.  Other notable finishers included Corey Miechels in 13th, Randy Clingan in 49th, Alan Breuker in 81st and Robert Boersen in 83rd.

Next on the schedule is Low Dough Night at the Zoo!  The Outlaw Super Late Models will take center stage with a 50 lap feature.  Also in action will be the Modifieds, Pro Stocks and Cyber Stocks.  The event will cost JUST $9 for adults, $5 for teens and kids will be FREE!!
