Outlaw Super Late Models Fly During Pre-Season Testing at the Zoo!
Phil Bozell turned a 12.594 second lap to top the speed charts during the final night of Pre-Season Testing at Kalamazoo Speedway. Trent “The Dent” Hellenga was the second fastest with a best time of 12.598 ahead of 12-time Outlaw Super Late Model track champion Andy Bozell who ran a 12.647. JR Roahring, Al Weber in Trent Hellenga’s second car, Rick Sexton, John Chapman, Bill Tomlinson, Brandon Lyons and Todd Harrington completed the fast ten.
In the Modified division Ben Raber topped the practice sheets with a 13.547 ahead of AJ Foote. Steve Dolphin, Lyndsey Katz and Rodney Nettelton were third through fifth.
Eric McGlothlen put up a very impressive time of 13.966 to top the Super Stock division. Chris Shannon driving a very sharp number 32 machine was the second fastest ahead of Rick VanHouten, Jordan Hunderman and Matt Corliss.
Travis Hall was the fastest of all Pro Stocks with a 14.824. Lloyd Brooks was second quick in his pickup truck ahead of Scott Elsey, John Foote and Bob Metheny.
Finally, Doug Smith topped the Cyber Stocks in attendance over defending champion Dale Leonard and John Wilbur.
In just two days Kalamazoo Speedway kicks off the 2011 season with the Intimidator 100 for the Outlaw Super Late Models. The Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pro Stocks and Cyber Stocks also kick off their seasons. With the weather looking better the car count promises to be high and the action promises to be intense. Racing starts at 7:00 on Saturday night at Kalamazoo Speedway, your Saturday night entertainment hot spot.
