McGlothlen, Shannon & Corliss All Tied in NASCAR’s Finalist Program
Eric McGlothlen, Chris Shannon and Matt Corliss have each accumulated 246 points in NASCAR’s Finalist Program for Division III, which places them 57th-59th in the nation. McGlothlen and Shannon each have two wins and four top-5’s while McGlothlen has eight top-10’s compared to Shannon’s six. Corliss on the other hand has been shut out of victory lane thus far in 2011 but has four top-5’s and eight top-10’s. Defending Super Stock champion Buddy Head is the only other Super Stock driver currently ranked in the top 100. With four top-5’s and seven top-10’s Head currently ranks 75th.
In Division IV, Toby Montgomery has jumped up to 41st in the nation based on the strength of his one win, 7 top-5’s and eight top-10’s. Keith Wilfong is currently 43rd in the nation ahead of Lloyd Brooks (45th), Tyler Hufford (58th), Bob Metheny (72nd) and Scott Elsey (77th).
Nick Layman has moved to 16th in the national point standings for Division V. Layman has two wins and eight top-5’s in nine events. Other Cyber Stock drivers nationally ranked in Division V include: Doug Smith (18th), Bryen Pion (34th), Jerry Jansen III (39th), Kaylee Misak (46th), Bob Miller (67th), Lauryn Rousseau (68th), Cliff Lambert (72nd), Doug Nelson (89th) and Dan Denbraber (94th).
