Russell Bucks Added to Kalamazoo Klash Tune-Up!!
Russell Automotive and their “Russell Bucks” program have come on board to make this Saturday’s Kalamazoo Klash Tune-Up pay a possible $1,600 to win. The race itself will pay a guaranteed $1,500 to win and the top three finishers running Russell Automotive decals will receive bonus money of $100-50-50. The race will be 75 laps and feature double file restarts to get the drivers prepared for next Wednesday night’s 150-lap Kalamazoo Klash.
In addition to a Klash Tune-Up this will also be a points race for the Outlaw Super Late Models. With just three point events left it is a three-way battle for the championship. Of the three drivers going for the title, there are two drivers that have never won a Kalamazoo Speedway Outlaw Super Late Model championship. Phil Bozell, the current point leader, and Tom Thomas are both still looking for their first ever track title. On the other end of the spectrum is the man currently second in the standings, 12-time Outlaw Super Late Model champion Andy Bozell, looking for his unprecedented 13th championship.
