Phil Bozell 3-Peats at the Shoe!!
For the third season in a row Phil Bozell is the Super Shoe Nationals champion. Phil started in 13th position and methodically worked his way through the field before overtaking his Uncle Jeff Bozell for the lead. Andy Bozell came all the way from 15th starting spot to finish second ahead of Jeff, who completed the Bozell 1-2-3. Former Klash winner Tom Thomas finished 4th ahead of Mark Shook, Billy Shannon, Corey Ryman, Brain Ross, Jeff Ganus and Jerry Drake. Brandon Maynard and Donnie Ritter won the two ‘A’ Feature Last Chances. Other feature winners were Marc Casey, KC Foote and Troy Meyer. Tom Rutherford, Rich Hardy, Steve Smith, John Foote Jr., Alex Vanderau and James Brown all collected Last Chance wins.
Jeremy Damron won the first ever Mini Stock Nationals defeating Bobby Stremme, Mike Mast, Rich Hensley Jr. and James Newman. David Biesmeyer, Billy Bussema, George Watts, Jim Anglemeyer and Mike Landry completed the top ten.
In the 2nd annual Mini Shoe Nationals it was Spencer Wortinger collecting the victory. Jim Leonard, Lloyd Brooks, Barry Jenkins and Tristan Crago rounded out the top five. Cliff Lambert, Eric Frazier, Bryce Smith, Bill Miller and Triston Winter finish sixth through tenth.
Next on the Kalamazoo Speedway schedule is the final event of 2011, the Belle Tire Pumpkin Patch Enduro presented by LKQ Used Auto Parts on Saturday, October 15.
