Andy Bozell Tops 92.5 WZUU Hard Charger Award Standings Heading Into Lane 75
Current Outlaw Super Late Model point leader Andy Bozell also leads the current 92.5 WZUU Hard Charger Award standings after two weeks of competition. Bozell has improved his position by 23 places in just two events to lead the points by just 4 markers over second place Trent Hellenga. Hellenga started 18th in the season opening Intimidator 100 and 15th in the Sun Drop 50 and drove into the top ten in both events, but still sits 4 points behind the 12-time champion in the Hard Charger standings. Phil Bozell is 6 points behind his father in third, just ahead of Luke Krick and a fifth place tie between Randy Chupp and Sun Drop 50 winner Brian Bergakker.
92.5 THE ZUU is the presenting sponsor of the Hard Charger Award for the Outlaw Super Late Models and will present the winner with $250 and a plaque at the 2012 Kalamazoo Speedway Awards Ceremony. Points will be kept all season long and the driver with the most points at the end of the season will win the award. A driver will earn one point for each position improved during an ‘A’ Feature (based on scheduled starting position). For example if a driver starts 14th and finishes 5th, that driver will earn 9 points towards the Hard Charger Award. 92.5 THE ZUU will also be the sponsor of the July 28th Outlaw Super Late Model feature, which will be titled the “WZUU 92.5 Shootout”.
