Auto Value Super Sprint Kalamazoo Preview
The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints gets ready to open another exciting season at Kalamazoo Speedway on Saturday, June 2nd. The Super Sprints begin the new season at a familiar venue, Kalamazoo Speedway. There are many story lines as we get ready for the 2012 season.
Some of the stories that are developing are intriguing to say the least. Can Jim Swain repeat as champion during the 2012 season, or will another shoe from the World’s Fastest Pavement Sprint Series be able to dethrone him? There are plenty of capable drivers who are vying for the crown, such as Ryan Litt and Bill Tyler, driving for T & T Promotions, Kevin Feeney running for Marv Carmen Motorsports, or Joe Swanson, running the family owned #7s, all trying to improve on their 2011 points position. The Super Sprints also are expecting Mike Astrauskas, Jeff Bloom, Scott O’Connor, Jason Cox, Teddy Alberts, Kyle Flint, Derek Snyder, Hank Lower, Kyle Feeney, Troy DeCaire, Ryan Gillenwater and Jason Blonde, all top runners from a year ago to be in attendance. And debuting in a Super Sprint at his home track will be Kalamazoo’s own Randy Sweet. Adding to the AVSS regulars, there are expected to be some drivers who will be running with the Super Sprints from other pavement series, as it is an off weekend for most other series and tracks.
The chase for the Super Sprints title begins at Kalamazoo on Saturday, with the races starting at 7:00. See you there!
