Slam at the Zoo

(Kalamazoo, MI) The Kalamazoo Speedway will be hosting a high energy Professional Wrestling Event, Slam at the Zoo, for the first time in track history, to help benefit the nonprofit Racing 4 Kidz organization. The event will be held at Kalamazoo Speedway right out on the front stretch on Friday night, June 29th at 7:30pm. CIW Wrestling, based out Southern Michigan will bring some old fashioned high octane pro wrestling action at the track. The stars will be coming out for this history making event at Michigan’s only NASCAR track, featuring WWE Legend Paul Bearer and from the ECW and WWE, none other than Kevin Thorn will be co-headlining this event.
The gates will open for this event at 5PM for the VIP Meet and Greet until 6PM, were the wrestling fans will get a chance to meet Paul Bearer and Kevin Thorn on the Texas Coral Party Deck at the Zoo. The rest of the CIW stars will also be on hand to sign autographs and interact with fans of all ages. The gates will open at 6PM to the general public to give the fans a chance to get a great seat for the action. The Racing 4 Kidz Ride Along Car will be offering rides to children under the age of 14 until 7PM.
“This is going to be a family fun event for kids of all ages as well as including the big kids as well” stated, Andy Jach, Racing 4 Kidz Director of Marketing. “Paul Bearer has been amazing to work with in starting this promotional event, with his many years professional wrestling experience…… it’s nice to see someone like him that gives so much back to his fans.”
Tickets for this event will be on sale at the Kalamazoo Speedway during race events leading up to this event. They will also be on sale online at www.zooslam.com and also at Howe Patio and Window Monday thru Friday from 7-5PM. We encourage everyone to purchase their tickets early to save money as all tickets will be $2 more the day of the event. Ticket prices are as follows:
- VIP Meet and Greet tickets are only $20, which includes ring side seating in the first three rows.
- Ring Side Seating from the 4th row back will be $12
- Adult General Admission tickets are only $10
- Kids Tickets (7-14 years old) for $8 – Kids 6 and younger are FREE!
- A Family Pass for $30 which includes two adult tickets and two kids tickets.
CIW Wrestling embraces the old school wrestling mentality, with wrestlers such as Nitro, “The Dark Horse” Hoss Monahan, Krimson, T.K. Parker, “The New Age Patriot” Bryan Castle, “The Mastermind” Dave Duponte and many more. The CIW also likes to bring in the legends of wrestling with such stars as The Honky Tonk Man, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Demolition, The Barbarian, Kamala, Koko B.Ware, Abyss, Rhino, and many others. The CIW is excited to be bringing in Kevin Thorn and Paul Bearer for their first ever appearance at the Kalamazoo Speedway to help make this a huge and successful event.
The Racing 4 Kidz organization is a program of Giving Kids Hope Inc, a nonprofit group based out of Three Rivers, MI, which works with groups such as the Make-A- Wish Foundation, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and other non-profit groups providing an experience that help lifts young kid’s spirits during hard times. All proceeds from this event will go to benefit its Ride Along Program that helps create an exciting experience for these kids.
